Nine categories. Forty-plus routes. Expeditions, adventure discoveries, and discovery journeys — each labeled honestly, same field standard throughout.

Multi-Adventure
One country.
Three universes.
Demanding by day. Restful by night.
This is a real expedition — long days, raw terrain, weather you can't negotiate with. But every evening, we make sure you land somewhere warm, comfortable, and quiet enough to recover for tomorrow.
A short, honest self-check.
Tick most boxes and you'll thrive. Tick few and we'll point you to a softer entry route — no shame, just the wrong start.

Introduction
Viet Expedition didn't start
as an expedition company.
It began with simple steps — through the old streets of Hanoi, the local markets, the quiet corners most journeys never reach.

The Journey
From a few streets to the whole country.
The journey expanded north — into the misty highlands of Sapa,
the ancient villages of the Red River Delta,
where land and life still move to the same rhythm.
Then south through Hue and Hoi An,
into the highlands and lesser-traveled routes —
onward to Saigon and the Mekong Delta,
where every region speaks in its own voice.
With each route, we became more than guides —
a network connecting travelers to the most authentic Vietnam still has to offer.
The Founder
The Founder

Behind Viet Expedition is Tony T — a guide who built the brand from years on active routes across northern Vietnam.
Before the expedition catalog, Tony spent years leading travelers through Hanoi streets, highland passes, and remote villages — journeys built on field experience, not brochure scripts.
Viet Expedition carries that same standard into multi-day terrain: honest difficulty, guide-led pacing, and routes verified on the ground before they reach the website.
The walking-tour network that preceded this brand remains part of the operating foundation — but Viet Expedition is the active-travel arm, built for travelers who want terrain, preparation, and consecutive days in the field.

The Network
One system. Nationwide.
What began as simple footsteps exploring Vietnam's key travel cities
has grown into one of the country's most established and trusted local guiding systems.
With Free Walking Tours Vietnam at its core —

Free Walking Tours Vietnam, Viet Expedition, Hanoi Travel Mate, Hoi An Travel Mate, and Saigon Travel Mate

Built and led by Tony T,
operating as a single, unified vision across Vietnam.
At the foundation of this system, Hanoi Travel Mate serves as the primary legal entity —
officially registered in Vietnam with full legal status (Tax ID: 0110906485).
Ensuring transparency, stability,
and the long-term development of the entire network.

Policies & transparency
How we operate — clearly.
Viet Expedition is the active-travel brand. Multi-day expeditions are coordinated through our registered Vietnam operating network. Hanoi Travel Mate (Tax ID: 0110906485) is the primary legal entity named in written proposals when applicable. Contact: vietexpedition@gmail.com · +84 971 986 466.
Booking & cancellation
All expeditions are quoted privately. A written proposal confirms route, inclusions, exclusions, group size, guide scope, and final price before you pay a deposit.
A 30% deposit holds your spot. Cancel 60+ days before departure: full refund minus a small admin fee. 30–60 days: 50% refund. Under 30 days: deposit forfeited but transferable to a future expedition within 18 months. We strongly recommend travel insurance with adventure-sport coverage.
Weather, safety, permits, and local access may require route changes. The guide makes the final field decision — the same policy stated on every expedition FAQ page.
Safety & insurance
Every program is guide-led with daily briefings and conservative pacing. Technical sections run only when conditions and guest ability allow. Emergency-contact and first-aid provisions are confirmed in your written proposal — not rescue or medical evacuation.
Travel, medical, evacuation, and activity insurance are not included and must be verified by you before departure. Remote-area response may be limited by terrain, weather, access, and connectivity.
Privacy
We collect information you submit through enquiry forms, email, WhatsApp, or booking correspondence — name, contact details, travel dates, fitness and experience notes needed to quote an expedition.
We use this data only to respond, prepare proposals, operate your trip, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data. Request access or deletion by email to vietexpedition@gmail.com.
Terms of use
Website content describes operator-published products — difficulty, inclusions, and pricing notes are planning guidance until confirmed in a written proposal. Published itineraries may change for weather, safety, or local access.
Participants must meet the skill, fitness, and document requirements stated on each product page. You are responsible for valid passports, visas, licenses, and insurance where applicable.
Liability is governed by the contract in your written proposal and applicable Vietnamese law. By submitting an enquiry or deposit you confirm you have read the product page, proposal, and these policies.
Today
The next step in that journey.
We've moved beyond city streets — into multi-day routes, remote terrain, and journeys that ask more of body and mind.
For those who don't just want to see Vietnam,
but to feel it, understand it, and move through it.
This is not where it began.
This is where the journey continues — further, deeper, more real.

— Final field note
The road
is waiting.
Readiness matters — we'll help you find the right entry. Gear, route logistics, and support scope confirmed in your proposal.
